Paris, Dec. 4. They write from Dijon, that on the 14th of November, about Five in the Morning, a Cloud was formed round the Moon of about 50 Feet in Circumference, from whence issued such a large Body of bright Fire, that most of the Spectators, unable to stand the Glare of it, fell down with their Faces to the Ground: This Phenomenon lasted some Minutes. It was followed by a Noise like that of several Battering Cannon discharged at once. And the Commotion of the Air was so great, that the Doors and Windows of the Houses trembled....[Dijon is 140 Miles South East of Paris.]
