"Josie" Gomez Will Run For Country District

Joseph Gomez, Building and Street Supervisor in the Public Works Department, is expected to run for a seat in the Municipal Council as a Candidate for the Country District in the November election.

Mr. Gomez, who has been in the government service for more than 30 years, has been active in political activities for several decades, and has a reputation for being independent and outspoken.

It is expected that he will team up closely with Councilman Weymouth Rhymer. His entry puts three candidates in the field. Councilman Henry O. Creque, who was elected from the Country District last May still insists he will run at-large. Mr. Gomez was one of Mr. Creque's supporters in the special election.
