Monday caught a suspicious looking man
around his buildings and giving chase
obliged him to drop a bag containing a variety
of articles and over $45 in money,
probably stolen. Later, about one o'clock,
parties entered the dwelling house of Granville
M. Townsend through a window, proceeded
to his sleeping room and took from
his clothing a wallet containing $15.25,
$11 in bills and $4.25 in silver. After
helping himself to some eatables, he left
without awakening Mr. Townsend or his
family. He then entered the houses of
Mrs. Agnes Rogers and Mr. Geo. H. True,
but was frightened off from both places.

Alfred, May 28.-The Grand Jury in
the Supreme Judicial Court at York County
reported, Wednesday morning, twenty-six
indictments.
Those made public are:
Prene Morin, Biddeford, Manslaughter;
Almon Littlefield, Kennebunk, assault and
battery; Benjamin Goodier, George W.
Lait, George W. Rumery, Biddeford,
jointly indicted for assault and battery,
this indictment being the only one connected
with the Biddeford election trouble.
