From Dover, we learn, that the Court of Errors and Appeals commenced its term on Monday the 17th, Mr. Richard H. Bayard, the complainant in the important case to which we referred last week, was in attendance with his counsel, Mr. Frame and Mr. Reverdy Johnson. Mr. Louis McLane, the defendant with his counsel, Mr. Rogers, Mr. W. H. Rogers, Mr. Meredith, Mr. Sergeant and General Walter Jones, were likewise in attendance. Mr. Frame opened the cause on Monday. He was followed by Mr. W. H. Rogers for the defendant. The argument will probably occupy the present and part, if not all, of the next week: Chief Justice Clayton does not sit in the case, having been engaged in it, as counsel for the city, until before his appointment to the bench.
