Full Text

Monday evening large crowds attended the Gem Theatre where reels, showing The Tango, Turkey Trot and Hesitation Waltz were exhibited for the first time in Audubon. These popular dances are taught by New York's most famous instructors, Wallace McCutcheon and Miss Joan Sawyer, and because of the wide publicity given these dances, people all over the country have become interested. These pictures gave Audubon folks an opportunity of seeing what the 400 of New York do to amuse themselves. The attraction proved a strong drawing card and made a big hit with all who enjoy dancing. The new Edison disc phonograph, sold by F. W. Smith the druggist, furnished music while the pictures were shown. This proved to be a pleasing feature and many commented on the excellent music produced by this new machine.

Mr. Hoover was obliged to run three shows in order to accommodate the people who patronize his popular theatre. He is to be commended also for always giving Audubon people the best in his line at all times.
