PLAN WORK
IN NORMAL
MANY NEW TEACHERS TO TAKE PLACES OF OLD ONES RESIGNED-NEW DORMITORY IS ATTRACTIVE

Those in charge of the enrollment at the normal school and the correspondence relative thereto say that the outlook is that the school will open the term with a record breaking enrollment.

Notwithstanding the fact that there is more than the usual demand for normal students for teachers this year, taking students who had intended to come back had not this demand arisen, there is every reason to believe the school will open with its largest attendance this fall.

The new dormitory is proving an attractive feature and the reservation of rooms shows that the full capacity of the building will be appropriated at the opening term. Those returning are impressed with the improvements of the summer. The lawn about the dormitory and the new cement walks add materially to its setting and make it one of the most artistic buildings on the campus.

Faculty members who have been away for the summer are returning and the full corps of teachers will be here by the time the semester opens. President Black is expected to return next Thursday.

There will be three new members on the faculty this year. Miss Anna Webster Lytle will be the acting head of the English department and will also be dean of women. Harold H. Hallowell will take Mr. Calhoun's place at the head of the European history department, and Mr. Herbert E. Fowler has been chosen to teach the English department. Miss Ora L. Kennedy will be the new matron and have charge of Lewis Hall. Miss Dora Gwin will assist in the training department.
