NUMBER OF CANDIDATES FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL.

Little Rock, Sept. 11.—Gov. Hays will now take up the question of the appointment of a successor to Attorney-General W. L. Moose. There are a number of candidates for the place active and receptive. It is a most desirable political plum, as the appointment is good for sixteen months. It will also give the one who receives it a strong inside pull on the nomination for the full term. Every candidate who has announced for the March primaries is therefore seeking the appointment.
