NBC PROGRAMS TO BE GIVEN BY KINY EARLY NEXT MONTH

William J. Wagner, General Manager of the Alaska Broadcasting Company, announces that station KINY in Juneau will add about twelve hours a week of National Broadcasting Company programs to its schedule early in March. These shows will be various types of broadcasts such as popular and classical music, news background, discussions, drama, and comedy.
Among the NBC broadcasts which will be heard regularly on the Juneau station are the University of Chicago Roundtable, Dangerous Assignment, Christopher London, Mindy Carson, Boston Symphony, Archie Andrews, Voices and Events, and the Eternal Light.
In addition to these new NBC programs KINY will continue its present schedule of Columbia Broadcasting System programs.
Most of the Juneau station's network programs are recorded in Seattle and airmailed to Alaska Broadcasting Company stations throughout the Territory, but special events as well as the weekly Jack Benny show are shortwaved from the continental United States by the Alaska Communications System.
