Tripp's Writing School.

The first term of Prof. Tripp's Writing School closed on Saturday eve. The following persons received prizes: Miss Alice Smith, best penmanship; Elmer McClellan, second best; Jacob Adolf, most improvement; W. C. Van Dreilen, second best improvement; Mrs. Bello Kuhn, most improvement in page arrangement; Archie Dorsey, improvement in signature. Masters Joseph Henderson, Alex. Penrod, and Harry Grant, general improvement. Mrs. Annie Carr drew the large prize, allotted to the pupils, and Judge Taylor the one given to the visitors. About twenty persons were present and a pleasant evening was passed. The second term begins this evening.
