York county teachers will come to Yorkville tomorrow for the first teacher's meeting of the school year, it was stated this morning by John E. Carroll, county superintendent of education. The meeting will be held in the Yorkville Graded School auditorium beginning at 10:30 and will continue throughout most of the day. The county superintendent recently notified the teachers in writing of this meeting requesting information as to attendance. As a result of replies received up to this morning he expects that there will be fully 150 present. Several experts on school affairs are expected to be present to address the teachers, and many matters of especial interest to those in charge of the schools will be taken up for discussion. At the meeting tomorrow it is proposed to organize the York County Teacher's Association for the year by the election of officers, appointment of committees and attendance to other details necessary in connection with the organization. Luncheon will be served the attendant teachers at the school building.
