The following resolution, introduced by Mr. MILLER, of Powhatan, was agreed to by an unanimous vote in both Houses of the Legislature, of this commonwealth, on Friday the 3d inst.
Resolved, By the General Assembly of Virginia, That the present administration of the government of the United States, merit the confidence of this Assembly, and of every American, friendly to republican institutions, for the wise, pacific, yet determined measures, by which the extensive and fertile territory of Louisiana has been attached to the union.
