SHOW WINDOW SMASHED

Unruly Automobile Does $350 Damage at Walker's

Plate glass took a tumble at the Mercer B. Walker store Sunday morning when a car driven by Mrs. V. V. Stewart, living eight miles northeast of Beatrice, failed to stop at the curb but ran across the sidewalk and into a large show window.

The damage is estimated at about $350. The glass was fully insured, but considerable delay is anticipated in replacing it. It is especially unfortunate just at this time, as Mr. Walker expected to make an extra effort at window display during fair week.
