Anniversary
Tuesday evening, June 29th, H. B.
A. Lodge No. 270 celebrated its anniversary at Sweet Pilgrim Baptist
Church, Hattiesburg, Mississippi,
with Mr. Dewey Johnson, president.
Before the meeting opened, Mr.
and Mrs. Dewey Johnson served a
delectable dinner at their beautiful
and inviting home. The invited
dinner guests were: Mr. and Mrs.
G. D. Cotton, Mesdames Pearl Bourdeaux, Lula Buzzle, Misses Luella
Bourdeaux, Christene King and Mattie L. Larkin. The dinner served
was fit for a king.
A very lovely program was rendered by the senior and junior choirs
of the church and those who attended
were thrilled with the beautiful renditions by the two choirs.
An inspiring sermon was delivered
by Reverend R. W. Woullard as only
Reverend Woullard can do. The
general president and secretary added their bits to the program.
$86.00 was raised in the collection
and after the benediction, the lodge
had a banquet in the beautiful dining room of this magnificent edifice.
The president and members are to
be congratulated for the timely and
well planned program rendered.
Some of the local presidents were
in attendance. Thus closed a lovely
and enjoyable Anniversary.
