One of the featured prizes in this contest is a $1,000 life insurance policy with premium paid for one full year, donated by O. C. (Ike) Emery, district manager for the Volunteer State Life Insurance Company of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Other presents will be announced from day to day next week.
Voting will come to an end Wednesday, June 5, and the winning couple will be named in the next day's edition of the Monitor, June 6. Tabulation of ballots will be in charge of a committee composed of prominent Hidalgo county people who are not connected with this newspaper nor with the firms which are donating many valuable gifts.
The wedding will be staged at the Palace Theatre Tuesday night, June 11. The license, the minister's fee, and the honeymoon trip will all be provided the lucky pair.
Erroneous entries by other persons of Miss Oneita Ausmus and Henry Erdmann of McAllen, and of Miss Pauline Keaton and Newman Smith were withdrawn at their request.
