Perhaps it is impossible for Gen. Jackson to determine upon his cabinet, until he ascertains with greater precision, the wishes and views of those whom he may deem the best qualified for the various departments. It is on this account, that he will probably come on, and confer with his friends. We have also before us, a letter from a particular friend of Gen. Jackson at Nashville, who says, that in case of his election "he will surround himself with the ablest, most distinguished and patriotic men in the nation ; and that the Eastern. Middle, Southern and Western sections of the Union will be represented in his cabinet. Who will compose his cabinet, no one can tell ; for, it is a subject upon which not even his most intimate and confidential friends ever hear him speak, but this much I can venture to say. that in point of talents, patriotism and moral worth, it will not be inferior to any that has been organized since the adoption of the Federal Constitution. I am sure, we have among our friends the materials of the Jeffersonian School, and I think, if I know the old man, he will be disposed to use them.'
