Einstein Resting Aboard Steamer

ABOARD S. S. BELGENLAND Dec. 17. (U.P.)—Once more away from large crowds of admirers, Prof. Albert Einstein is thoroughly enjoying his trip from New York to California.

The quiet little German scientist has been relaxing on board this ship from the strenuous welcoming activities of his visit in America's largest city. When he is not working in his stateroom he finds pleasure in strolling bareheaded on deck, his thick hair blowing in the wind.

Professor Einstein has spent several hours going through large stacks of mail and telegrams, put on board the ship in New York, from friends expressing their good wishes.
