Scott LaPrairie, a civil war veteran, whose years number in the nineties, paid his regular monthly visit to Bagley Saturday. Scott lives in LaPrairie township, which was named in his honor, and where he lived for over 20 years before it became an organized township and was part of the White Earth Indian reservation. In spite of the fact that he is blind, he knows the streets and store entrances so well that he is able to do his shopping without a guide, but as a rule his wife accompanies him to town. He is the only civil war veteran still living in the vicinity of Bagley.
