-Mr. H. C. Hooker, of this city, who has always an eye to business and knows how to secure bargains, attended the sale of the furniture, etc., of one of the most extensive centennial hotels in Phila., last week, and bought a splendid lot of walnut furniture, including bed-room sets, chairs, &c., &c., at such low prices that he proposes in a few days to offer to the people of this section such bargains as they have never before seen. As a general thing the goods sold at these sales brought nearly their full value, but Mr. H. was fortunate in securing various lots at rates greatly below the prevailing prices.
