Full Text
Scarcity of Women.
A lonely pioneer writes as follows from Cheyenne, Wyoming: "I sincerely wish that many hundreds of old maids and widows who cannot get husbands at home would come out here, where they could daily get a choice of good, honest working men, who could make comfortable and independent. We are, I really think, five men for one woman. In fact very many have been compelled to live with native Indian women, who, by the bye, are perfect frights, and worse in their conduct than appears, although that is bad enough."
