GEORGE W. SUTHERLAND SAYS ISLAND CITY DESTINED TO BECOME MOST POPULAR RESORT IN COUNTRY
George W. Sutherland, of Sedalia, Mo., has the belief that Key West is destined to become the "most popular winter resort in the country," he writes in a letter to friends here.
Mr. Sutherland spent a part last winter in Key West assembling information and data for a book he proposed writing with this city and its history as a basis.
He writes friends here asking he be sent the several folders and information volumes produced by the rehabilitation administration and all other writings and information pertinent to the history of Key West.
Mr. Sutherland concludes his letter with "I am a booster for your city and have been since I first arrived there, and sincerely believe that it will be the most popular winter resort in the United States."
Others are displaying an interest in Key West and writing for information. Ed Bartlett, head of the Bartlett-Collins company, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, writes the chamber of commerce, advising he plans a summer trip through Cuba and the West Indies, and will stop at Key West.
He asks that information as to roads, transportation facilities and any other informative information available be sent him at Sapulpa.
