A great storm of hail, rain, and thunder occurred in the province of Lionnois. Rain fell for an hour in abundance, overthrowing houses and carrying cattle and goods to ports Chara and Tartare, six leagues from Lyons. The river Azergue swelled rapidly, destroying parts of the road and houses.
