Full Text

During the past year in Paris township, Cuyahoga county, dogs killed one hundred and eighteen sheep and wounded forty-five. The assessor makes the following comments: I find, too, that there are in our township many old men whose farms are well adapted for keeping sheep, who could and would keep large flocks, were it not for the dogs. Many have tried keeping a few sheep that they might have a little nice mutton for market and family use, but have given it up. This is a great evil in our county, and there is but one remedy for it.
