Boy Scout News

The Boy Scouts of America celebrated their 51st Anniversary during Scout Week, February 7 through 13. Two Cub Scouts of Greenbelt's Pack 202 shared the honor this year of presenting Scout Anniversary Pins to "Very Important Persons' in the National Capitol area.

Billy Rowland made his award to U.S. Senator Gordon Allott of Colorado while Mark Wilkinson presented his badge to U.S. Congressman James Byrne of Pennsylvania.

Both boys and their parents enjoyed informal conversations with the two gentlemen in their offices on Capitol Hill. As souvenirs of their visits, the Cubs have received autographed photographs of the presentation ceremonies.
