Mineral Containing Gold
Found in Platinum Ore

LENINGRAD. Oct. 13.- Professor Zviaguistev, of the Platinum Institute, has announced the discovery in platinum ore of a mineral hitherto unknown which contains iridium, osmium, gold and ruthenium. The new mineral is described as being white with a silvery metallic appearance.
It is found in small grains of irregular shape together with platinum, is very hard, fragile and of high specific gravity.
Analysis showed the mineral to be a solid solution of gold, osmium and ruthenium in iridium.
