Daily progress can be seen in the construction of the new cannery and freezing plant of the Seward Fisheries, Inc., on the waterfront below First avenue south.
The large addition to the former building is rapidly taking shape all indications pointing to a completed structure prior to the arrival of the large shipment of cold storage machinery and equipment.
Graveling of the roadway, which the company has had a crew engaged upon for the last two months has been completed by Eric Eckman, contractor, and the thoroughfare is now ready for use by pedestrians or vehicles.
