Cowboy Museum Gets Old Brand Record

An old brand record found by P. J. Anderson, Petroleum county treasurer, in a box of papers, is now on display in Great Falls' Montana Cowboys association museum.

The brand record certificate was issued to the late J. Henry Chadd, Nov. 16, 1887, by R. B. Harrison, general recorder of brands at Helena, Montana Territory.

E. K. C. Foster, first vice president of the association, in a letter to Anderson, asked that he donate the "priceless old relic to be put on display in the museum with several thousand other relics, papers and memories of the west as you and I knew it."
