The Yadnom's Civic and Social Klub presented its annual scholarship awards Sunday, June 10 at the Trinity A. M. E. Church during the 11 o'clock hour at its Youth Day celebration. Mrs. Eugenia Stewart, was chairman of the Youth Day program.
Mr. Ervie A. Thomas, Jr. a student at Morehouse College, was the Youth Day speaker, and gave a forceful and dynamic speech on the "Youth of Today." Music was rendered by the two youth choirs of the church.
The awards were presented by the President of the club, Mrs. Fannie Leary. The recipients of the awards were Miss Florie Pryor, Miss Mary E. Johnson, and Mr. Ervie A. Thomas, Jr.
The members of the Yadnom's are: Mesdames Myrtle Hill, Fannie Leary, Gussie N. Thomas, Eunice Arnold, Eugenia Stewart, Doris Buster and Ruby L. Thompson, and all were present at the service.
The Trinity A. M. E. Church is pastored by the Rev. F. I. Riley.
