Hamburgh, April 3. They write from Berlin, that the King of Prussia, as Marks of his great Esteem for the late Baron de Grumkow, has wrote a most gracious Letter to the Dowager, promising her and the Family his Protection; and has given her Son, the present Baron, now about Fourteen Years old, a Pair of Colours. The Affliction of this Family has been augmented by the melancholy News it has received of the unhappy Death of the Baroness de Kulan, Daughter to the late Baron de Grumkow. This Lady was coming from her Seat to Berlin, in order to condole with Madam her Mother; and passing the River Elbe in a Ferry Boat, at a Time when there happened a great Storm, the Coach Horses took Fright, leaped into the River, and drew the Coach after them; so that the Baroness and her eldest Daughter were both drowned.
