Fellow-Citizens: You have seen all over the city small and large pieces of paper with the word "Trix" on it. Now, old Dr. Horine is the only man that can explain that "Trix." It is a notorious fact that, since the formation of our National and State governments, the power of allowing corporations or cities to be carried out has been allowed and granted.
Now, our city is an old corporation, dating as far back as revolutionary notoriety. Well, this city has had a medical department in it from the time of its organization: But who has ever heard of the City Physician charging or getting $150. Now, I understand that the present City Physician has received $4,000 or upwards. Now, this Is a "Trix" upon the good citizens of Lexington, and I charge it upon the present incumbent as being the biggest "Trix" ever palmed upon the good citizens of Lexington.
I proclaim to you, fellow citizens, now, that I am a candidate for City Physician, and I can save more for the city and the people than anybody else, I am well known, and have never lost a case, when it came into my hands first, since I have been into the practice—which has been over fifty years. With my experience and knowledge of medicine, I will be a prominent light to the medical profession, and the whole world can point to the city of Lexington, when I am elected, as a city set upon a hill, that can be seen all over the world.
DR. I. P. HORINE.
