Fatal Case of Accidental Shooting.--Edward Welsh, a young man whose parents reside on Light street extended, was fatally wounded at Brookline village, Anne Arundel county, on Wednesday night, by a heavily loaded horse pistol going off in the hands of a companion named Conway. The parties were together at Acton's tavern in the village, and after drinking considerably got to tussling for the possession of the pistol, which was held by Conway. In the struggle the pistol was discharged while in the hands of Conway, and the whole load of balls and shot entered the abdomen of Welsh, horribly lacerating the bowels. He lived for twenty hours after, suffering the greatest agony. The body was brought to deceased's residence on Thursday. Dr. Battee, coroner for the southern district, held an inquest over the body, and the jury returned the following verdict: "That the deceased, Edward Welsh came to his death by balls fired from a pistol in the hands of Conway, and that the killing was accidental. The deceased was not yet 21 years of age. Conway is also a minor.--Balt. Patriot, Sat. Afternoon.
