NO ACTION ON FARRY.
Senate Adjourns Without Receiving Report of Special Committee.
According to Washington dispatches,
the Senate adjourned on Saturday until
December 6 without hearing a report from
the special sub-committee named to con-
sider the confirmation of the reappoint-
ment of U. S. Marshal, Matt F. Farry.
Mr. Farry was recommended for appoint-
ment several weeks ago, but the Senate
at that time failed to take any action on it.
As matters stand now, Mr. Farry will
continue in his official position until
Congress either confirms his nomination
or the new President names a new man.
