Two More to Seek Offices on Council

Ann Arbor, Jan. 6—Petitions for Harold J. Lepard, 1319 Granger Ave., and Cecil J. McHale, 1304 Hill St., were filed Monday for them, a few minutes before the deadline, for nomination for office of short term alderman in the seventh ward, at the primary on Feb. 15.

Both are Republicans.

Mr. Lepard is president of the Handicraft Furniture Co. and Mr. McHale is associate professor of library science on the University faculty. The race will be an interesting contest. The Democratic candidate for the council seat the two other gentlemen are seeking is George V. Stoll, 402 Hill St., a salesman for Cushing Motor Sales, and he will face the winner of the Lepard-McHale contest in the regular April 5 election.
