MARATHON RACERS
Owing to the strenuous exercise attached to climbing Marathon mountain on the Fourth of July, all contestants must undergo a heart test a few days before the race, was the announcement made last evening by General Chairman Swetmann. This, as a matter of personal safeguard. One may possess the spirit but not the stamina, it is stated, so to avoid any possible danger from the grueling race up the mountain and back again, the test is to be made as a precautionary measure.
It is stated the last day for entries for this event will be June 26, on which day they close. Less than four entries for this race means it will be canceled.
