Extract of a letter from Portsmouth, June 18.

Arrived the Canada man of war of 74 guns, from the downs, which sailed immediately after Sir Charles Hardy's fleet. Arrived also the Leith armed ship from the downs. Sailed the Pallas and Camelion men of war, with several ships under convoy for Jamaica, and the Southampton frigate, to join the grand fleet. It is said she has orders to take all Spanish ships she meets with. The grand fleet, including the Canada and other ships cruising in the bay, will consist of 31 sail of the line, 8 frigates, besides sloops, fireships and cutters.
