S. P. Chase has a majority of 15,000 or so, over Medill, and a sufficiently large majority over Trimble, the Know Nothing candidate, to satisfy the interested order which placed him in nomination.
That "America" will have much chance of ruling America thereaway.
The Cincinnati Gazette gives returns from fifty two counties; which shows a majority of 9,700, and adds that the State ticket is chosen by 50,000 majority!
The vote in Cincinnati was as follows:
Chase, 3,240; Trimble, 4,976; Medill 7,865.
