Expresses Praise For Increase In Voters
To the Editor:
The recent announcements in the newspapers concerning the increase of Negro registered voters in Fulton County is a significant compliment to that segment of our leadership which has worked so assiduously to make such an announcement possible.
I believe that I know something of the far-flung activities of an impressive number of people throughout the community, who have contributed to that accomplishment. These include a thoroughly organized corps of committees, house to house canvassers, block-workers, precinct and ward leaders each of whom merits unusual praise.
However, a lion's share of the unsought honors goes to the former Chairman of the All-Citizen's Registration Committee Dr. C. A. Bacote, and the intrepid incumbent Chairman Jesse Hill, who has led the group with an inspired leadership for the past two years.
