BOSTON, May 2.

Extract of an authentic letter from St. Pierre (Martinique) dated February 28, 1782.

The Marquis de Bouille is appointed commander over all the French islands in the West-Indies. Ten ships, with a numerous convoy of transports, shall embark 8 or 10,000 troops, are hourly expected here from France. With these and the fleet already in these seas, the Marquis de Bouille is to join the Spanish forces arrived at St. Domingo, and to co-operate with them in the intended attack of Jamaica.
