C. W. Glotzbach, new director of Internal Revenue for the State of Virginia, conferred with employees in the Farmville branch office last Friday afternoon.
It was one of the few visits ever made by a state Internal Revenue chief to this office.
Glotzbach, who assumed duties as Director last May, came to Virginia from the district office at Fargo, N. D. He succeeded Hoke Murray.
Meetings with him here were A. H. Kloobe, K. F. Swartz, and H. S. Whitlock, auditors working from the local branch office.
A. F. Harris of Blackstone, a newly assigned collection officer, was absent on vacation.
The state director made his visit as a stop-over in an inspection and conference trip that will carry him to branch offices throughout Virginia.
He stressed the importance of to meet the needs of individuals and community businesses, employee relations and cooperation, employees here report.
