The Georgesville Community Volunteer Fire Department is offering a free trained animal circus in conjunction with its Annual Homecoming and Fish Fry. Friday and Saturday June 28th and 29th.
This gala celebration marks the official opening of the new Volunteer Fire Department Building, which houses two pumpers and other modern fire fighting equipment. It also marks the first anniversary of the Georgesville Community Volunteer Fire Department.
The new fire house, equipment and pumpers are tangible evidence of the concentrated effort and hard work expended by the Volunteers in their first year of operation.
Included among the attractions will be a troupe of trained pure white German shepherd dogs, a trained chimpanzee who has his own pony and gives an exhibition of bronco riding. Also a high diving dog and monkey, plus a free animal exhibit and a Military Pony drill. There will be games on the Midway, and pony and train rides for the kiddies. Round and square dancing both nights, rain or shine, to the music of the "Jesters."
