New-York, March 14.

LATEST FROM PORTUGAL.

Last evening, arrived at this port, the fast sailing ship Oroonoke, Captain Richards, from Lisbon, which port he left on the 2d of Feb.

Captain R. informed us, that a French army of from 10 to 15,000 men, from Cadiz had arrived on the frontiers of Portugal and that it was expected a great battle would be fought in the month of March, between the armies of Lord Wellington and Massena—that General Junot had been wounded (mortally, it was reported,) in a skirmish, a short time before Capt. R. sailed—that General Romana was dead.

Markets at Lisbon were good—flour 17 and half dollars.
