Employee at Vanity Fair Painfully Injured by Rifle Ball.
Israel Halavonky, employed at the soda fountain at Vanity Fair, was accidentally wounded by a shot from a rifle at that place yesterday as he was pouring out a glass of soda, the bullet entering his hand just below the wrist and inflicting a painful but not dangerous wound.
The shooting gallery is located directly opposite the soda fountain and one of the men was cleaning a gun when it went off, the bullet speeding across space and narrowly escaping another employee standing near, hit Halavonky.
Dr. Dentcher was called and Dr. Seymour of Riverside. Anesthetics were administered and the bullet removed. The fellow was able to be around the grounds.
