A FORECAST OF SUMMER MODES:

GOWN WHICH WILL BE LINED

The air outside may be chill with snowflakes, but there is summer in the room as one gazes at this foretaste of the lemon styles. The gown shown is one of the newest and best of home gowns which will be worn from the time the air begins to warm up thoroughly until the chill autumn winds bring thoughts of tailor-mades and heavy fabrics. The material is cotton voile, a fine grade of cotton fabric which will be much used this summer. A smart feature is the tunic effect of heavy embroidery. Combined with the embroidery and the voile to form this frock is Mexican drawn work made in bands and lending a delightful air of openness to the costume. The frock is made all in one, with the short kimono or peasant sleeve, which shows no sign of losing its popularity, and the waist is indicated by a wide satin ribbon girdle drawn through the center girdle and terminating at the back in a big chou.
