Full Text
Noble Conduct. Two little boys, while playing on some logs in the river opposite Kensington, yesterday morning, fell in and immediately disappeared. A young man, Mr. Samuel Hoffman, sprang into the river, and after descending to the depth of about fifteen feet, succeeded in rescuing one of the lads, and bringing him up. He then pursued a similar course with regard to the other, and was also successful. On being brought to land, the boys were apparently in a lifeless state; but by rubbing and other measures, Mr. Hoffman succeeded in recalling animation, and when last heard from they were out of danger. Too much praise cannot be bestowed upon such noble conduct.—Philadelphia Inquirer.
