Full Text

Extract of a letter from Warsaw, April 22.

"The Confederates of Podolia having been joined by a body of between 5 and 6000 Tartars, immediately dislodged the Russians from Winnitza; but the latter in their turn, being soon re-enforced by some light troops, beat the Confederates, and obliged them to abandon that post, with the loss of 100 men killed, and some prisoners taken. The Russians had but two Cosacks wounded, and several horses belonging to the Tartars fell into their hands. The only dependence of the Confederates is that the Russian troops cannot penetrate into Podolia without giving umbrage to the Turk."
