Officials

Imperial Valley football officials watched, with critical eyes, the performances of coast officials at last week's Calexico-El Centro football game... And came to the conclusion:
"They're no better than we are"
And the valley officials were correct in their conclusion... As a matter of fact the coast sent no officials to compare with Brawley's Tunney Williams as referee, and none were any better than the average valley official...
They cry their eyes out when valleyites purchase goods from coast stores, yet they... or maybe I'm not qualified to judge...
Perhaps an official appointment secretary might solve the problem of game officiating in league contests... At least it would aid in the solution.
