More Outdoor Sports Advocated in Cities By Playground Man

More outdoor activities for Milwaukee school children and more space in which the different sports can be indulged in is one of the greatest needs the city has to meet, according to George Dickey, New York, a member of the National Playground Assn., who is attending the conference of municipal recreation superintendents in the Wisconsin hotel.

Vocational aspects of playground and social center work was the subject of discussion at the conference today.

John Bradford, field secretary of the National Playground Assn., at yesterday's session told about the new program instituted by Johnstown, Pa., when plans for building additional athletic fields and playgrounds, costing approximately $4,000,000, were made.
