OPENING OF FEDERAL CAMP AT BRAWLEY DELAYED AGAIN

BRAWLEY, Nov. 22.—Opening of the federal labor camp here still is deferred while completion of last minute details are rushed by Charles Barry, camp manager.

The painting of fences and entrance gates, the cleaning of a few of the buildings, and the arrival of fire fighting apparatus are causing the delay, he said. He deemed it unsafe to admit the 200 families to the camp sites until the fire fighting equipment is available.

Flagstone walks connecting the various buildings and 200 tent sites are expected to be completed before the opening date.

"If it had been possible for us to accept all the families who applied in the last few weeks," Barry said Monday, "the camp could have been filled twice."
