Will Solve Water Problem.

McAlester, Okla., March 27.—At a meeting of the city council Monday morning, it was voted to draw up a call for a bond election for the building of an additional dam and to build a pipe line to Gains creek for the purpose of pumping water a distance of about eight miles to the present city waterworks reservoir. The people will be asked to vote bonds to the amount of $150,000.

At least fifty cars of pipe and machinery will be required, which it is proposed to bring to McAlester by special trains.
