Thompsonville, Sept. 16—The town finance commission held its executive session tonight to prepare the annual town budget of estimated expenditures for the new year and to consider a petition presented by the heads of the different departments of the town at the public hearing Tuesday night for stipulated amounts for the maintenance of each department. The total of the amounts asked for at the open meeting was $471,250, but the finance board by the exercise of economy saw fit to reduce the amount to $447,800, in other words, saving the town $23,450.
