Rebel Creek District.

Silver State, March 15,

Steve Tirrell, who has been prospecting in Rebel Creek District for the past three months, informs us that several discoveries have recently been made in the district, which promise to be very valuable mines. Some of these locations are in the vicinity of the Ohio mine, which he believes is one of the richest in the State. He says the incline in the Ohio mine is now down 120 feet. The ledge is from 10 to 14 feet wide, and he thinks the ore will average over $200 per ton. Among the other mines discovered are the North Star, owned by Tirrell & Trembath; the Moonlight, owned by H. H. McColly; and the Columbus and El Dorado, owned by Ford & Bauman; each and all of which carry good ores. Samples of the North Star recently assayed $160 per ton in silver. Mr. McKinney, formerly foreman for Hock Mason, has also a fine prospect near Buffalo Station, on which he has two men at work. The ledge is six feet wide and the ore assays from $50 to $100 per ton.
